Enjoy a true taste of Lapland with this cozy evening experience in a traditional Lappish Kota, set by a peaceful riverside away from city lights.

After pick-up from Rovaniemi city center, your guide will welcome you into the warm wooden Kota, where you’ll learn how to light an Arctic fire and take part in preparing grilled salmon using a local Lapland recipe, cooked over an open flame. Everyone is involved, creating a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

While enjoying your freshly grilled salmon along with warm drinks and snacks, your guide will share stories about the Northern Lights and Arctic life. On clear nights, you may admire the Arctic starry sky, spotting the Big Dipper and the North Star (Polaris).

From September to April, if conditions allow, the Northern Lights may appear. Professional photography is available for an additional fee.

From September to April every year, if you are lucky, you can see the Northern Lights

NOTE

On weekdays and Saturdays, at least 2 people need to register to form a group
On Sundays and national holidays, at least 4 people are required to register to form a group
Children under 12 must be accompanied by a paid adult
If guests are late due to their own reasons, the guide will not wait for them. Please go to the activity location by yourself or abandon the trip (no refunds will be given)
If the number of applicants is less than 2, we will notify you in advance and cancel the trip or make other arrangements depending on the situation
Since the aurora is a natural phenomenon, the guide and driver will try their best to find a suitable viewing location. If the aurora cannot be observed on the day of the trip, the company will not provide a refund
